Food Pantry & Community Garden

The Alna Food Pantry is located on the back lower level of the Town Office at 1574 Alna Road. It is open the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.  All area residents are welcome, no questions asked. Because its main sources are donations, the food items offered may vary. They typically include fresh fruits and vegetables, a variety of frozen items (including meat and fish), dairy products, dried goods and assorted personal hygiene items.

Every Tuesday, an inventory of the items available that week is distributed to all residents on the town’s email distribution list, and a printed copy is available at the town office. Note that the town office is only open from 10 AM - 2 PM on Tuesday and opens at 10 AM on Wednesday and orders must be placed, either by form or electronically, by 12 Noon on Wednesday.  Families are encouraged to pre-order items via email at:, or in person at the town office. Orders are handled confidentially.

The Pantry is grateful to receive food and other goods donated by these organizations:

The community garden was established in 2020 and is located behind the town office. Produce grown will go directly to our food pantry and also be offered to all residents on “help yourself Saturday”. On Saturday's, for the summer and into fall, coolers and containers with vegetables and flowers will be put out at the right side of the Town office for residents to enjoy. The summer of 2021 will feature a pick your own flower garden for Alna residents. Volunteers and donations are welcome!
