Alna’s Battery Lending Program Is Up And Running!

Alna’s first in the state municipal Battery Lending Program is now in service.  Any resident in need of emergency backup power for indoor electrical necessities, including home appliances and personal devices, may now borrow one of Alna’s five new Bluetti AC180 portable battery stations for up to approximately four hours of maximum use.

All batteries are located at the Fire Department and will be loaned out on a first come first served basis unless otherwise indicated due to priority or exceptional need.  Each prospective borrower is expected to complete a battery performance demonstration and sign a waiver of liability prior to use or attend a scheduled demonstration and pre-register to expedite the process.

The first drop-by demonstration opportunity will be this Saturday, Dec. 27th, from 10 a.m. to12 p.m. at the fire department (lower level).

Additional demonstration times will be scheduled as well, so stay tuned!

In the meantime, feel free to contact me, the Fire Chief, or the AVFD (avfd@tidewater.net) for more information.
