New Alna Road Committee Members Needed
Importance of Road Maintenance in Alna
Roads represent one of the most significant investments made by Alna's taxpayers. Therefore, managing road maintenance efficiently is crucial for the community. Effective oversight of road maintenance helps control how much these expenses affect the property taxes that residents pay.
Road Committee Vacancies and Responsibilities
The Road Committee currently has two vacancies and is seeking volunteers to fill these important roles. The committee meets several times throughout the year, usually every two to three months. During these meetings, members monitor progress on the Road Management Plan and review and adjust recommended maintenance priorities and budgets as needed.
Support and Training for New Members
New members will receive all the information necessary to contribute meaningfully to the committee's work. No specific training or prior experience is required to join.
How to Volunteer
If you are willing to serve in this important role for Alna, please contact the clerk or any member of the Select Board.
