Local Health Officer Vacancy
Local Health Officer Vacancy
The Town of Alna has a vacancy for the Role of Local Health Officer, and is seeking volunteers to serve in that role.
The LHO monitors their community by identifying and/or responding to immediate health risks to individuals or the community, and related trends, working along with public health professionals, and other LHOs and professionals who share the common goal of improving and caring for the health of their communities. Although municipalities are required to have a Local Health Officer, the position in Alna has typically required a very low level of effort.
The local health officer is required to be qualified by education, training, or experience in the field of public health, or to satisfactorily complete a short on-line training within six months of appointment. For further information or to express interest in volunteering for this role, please contact the Alna Town Clerk at alnaclerk@gmail.com or 586-5313.
