Thank-You from Georgetown to the AVFD
The Select Board and Fire Chief Mike Trask recently received a letter of thanks from the Georgetown Town Manager and Select Board for mutual aid fire response provided in August by the Alna Volunteer Fire Department.
We are proud of Alna's volunteer firefighters for the work they do to protect public safety, and grateful to them and their counterparts in neighboring communities for always being prepared to help when the call arrives. As our counterparts in Georgetown wrote in their letter, "it is encouraging to know that neighbors are still looking out for neighbors, even across town lines."
